I really want to see Spirited Away. But nobody wants to go see it with me. I feel like Donkey in Shrek, to stay within the realms of animated features: "I'm all alooone, there's no one heere besiiiide me". Miyazaki's next project is Howl's Moving Casle. I really loved the book, hope I'll like the film as well.

What else?

My roommate is packing to go back to Austria and was deeply distraught because he had bought 8 boxes and everything he owns fit into two. I would really like to have his problems. If I had to pack and I bought 8 boxes, I'd probably throw a fit around box 7,5 since the contents so far wouldn't have made a dent into the Mount Everest that is my possessions.

I opened the file that contains my final paper - or should I say "contained" - now it contains only the letter "Y". Actually with an accent. "Ý". French terrorists have replaced my paper! Or is it spanish? The ETA? The roommate's spanish girlfriend??? Anyway, need to call my parents because I left my backup on their computer. Hope it's still there. Not THAT big a deal, because I've got it all printed out and turned in, but still annoying.

S. is coming to visit tomorrow and we're going to the Oktoberfest. Haven't seen her in ages - she's working as a flight attendant still (while I got out when the iron was still hot - mixed metaphor :)). Last we spoke on the phone she wanted to take up photography as a hobby, by the way.

And on Saturday is Jule's leaving party *sniff*.
While I am sitting here, minding my own business, the realisation just hit me that I have to actually start working next month. Eek. I wonder if I'll like it. Maybe I should execute Plan B and become a cat. They just eat and sleep and then relax to recover from all that eating and sleeping. Sometimes they scratch something.

Well, nowadays they have to chase the Ugly Hamster that Silke brought home. (She had bought a Happy Meal with the Happy Expectation the toy was some kind of computer game. Instead it was Ugly Hamster). I actually think he's kind of cute. Short and stout and wears a green cap. Now the cats are sic'd on him and he looks afraid. Very, very afraid. Poor little hamster guy.

A quote from the Onion that I really had to laugh about:

U.S. Invades Non-Oil-Rich Nation To Dispel Criticism

LUXEMBOURG VILLE, LUXEMBOURG—In an effort to quiet criticism of U.S. military policy, 50,000 U.S. troops invaded and soundly defeated the non-oil-rich Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Monday. "Once again, the U.S. claims victory over a rogue nation," said President Bush after the 45-minute war. "The people of Luxembourg, although prosperous and living in peace, have suffered under the tyranny of a monarchy for centuries. And allow me to point out that Luxembourg has not one drop of crude oil." Troops will return home Friday, following the public hanging of Grand Duke Henri de Luxembourg.
Another Timewaster :)

At the moment I can't really think of any subjects to write about. If you have suggestions, let me know, but my brain is rather empty. I need to learn for my exam on Wednesday but I am rather unsuccessful.

Curiouser and curiouser: Reflectoporn.
If you have a bunny you might want to have its name included into The Comprehensive Bunny Name List. Great reference, too. For bunnies, that is.

Just in time to turn in my paper I get sick. Hadn't been feeling really well a couple of days now and now it struck. Hope it will be finished soon, didn't really sleep much yesterday. Today was fun, though (the "having finished the paper" part, not the illness part). Stayed at home and played Ratchet & Clank on my Playstation. Actually, my roommate played and I watched. (Here, I am only the Watcher. If there's a walkthrough, I read it aloud and comment on the progress. Hence my nickname: the Brain. Not because of my intellectual prowess, sadly :)

Anyway. I am strange in that respect, because I really like watching somebody else play. I'd rather make smart comments about my roommate falling down somewhere than fall down myself. And fall down I would, because when it comes to videogames my hands seem to be all thumbs. Tried to play, too, but was exasperated when I fell off a moving platform about 100 times. I guess I just prefer to yell: "Not THAT weapon again!!! USE THE SUCKING GUN!!! THE SUCKING GUN!!! Noooooooooo....I told you, you should have used the sucking gun!! Not again...RUN, JUMP, JUUUUUUMP!" Ah, life is sweet.

(The sucking gun, by the way, sucks little enemies in and fires them at other enemies. Mwahaha. My favourite weapon.)

Hm. The picture I made yesterday is looking at me and confirms my belief I should never enter any workfield that remotely needs skills with Paint Shop or other programs of that ilk. Boy, boy, boy, I'm really bad at that. Ah, it's the thought that counts. Arts and Crafts. Not really my bag, baby. When I went to IKEA the other day they sold those wood dolls where you can move every single part to simulate human postures. I quite like those but to just keep them for decorative purpose seems rather pointless and everybody who's ever seen me draw something would laugh about the thought that I'd actually attempt to draw the doll. The poor thing would be lucky if I drew the correct amount of its arms and legs.

Oh, oh, oh...I just remembered that on top of all the good things happening (apart from the illness, again, but I can live with that as long as it doesn't take long), I have a fully functioning car radio as well. Thank you, Pet.
And Mon saw every thing that she had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the paper was finished, all the pages.

And on the seventh day Mon ended her work which she had made; and she rested on the seventh day from all her work which she had made.
