Actually, I just returned from work. At 8 pm. That makes 24 hours straight. Now I am too tired to sleep and too tired to do anything else. I really want to riddle me this, but there's no thoughts left in my brain. If you have any clues for me, fill me in. Or better yet, give me a hint. I like hints.

For all the soccer I play online I missed the start of the Bundesliga. For heaven's sake, I haven't bought Kicker Magazine yet. I need a team roster. Today I watched Bayern München vs Eintracht Frankfurt. Oy vey. Either the Frankfurt people were still tired from being on hiatus or they thought: "Bundesliga, Schmundesliga. Won't be much different than second Liga." Either way, they were just standing around and let the Bayern score. At the moment they're celebrating with fireworks. Not Frankfurt. I mean the Bayern are celebrating with fireworks. They might be celebrating with Frankfurt, I seriously doubt it somehow, though.

Couple of thoughts: I don't like the new Bayern shirt. Now they look like Kaiserslautern. Well, sorta. Mehmet Scholl has lost half his hair, and to cover up for it he shaved the rest. The front looks like a billard ball, though, and the back has stubble. Strange. And Basti "Fantasti" Deisler starts looking more like Blackadder every day. Yikes.

Now let me go try my brain on some of these clues from the riddle and then sleep. Oh yes, sleep.
If you're wondering why I'm not blogging - I am still at work. And will be until at least 5 pm tomorrow. Happy, happy, joy, joy...

Jogging again today - and let me tell you one thing: That stupid alleged "Runners' High" is just a figment of imagination. I've tried everything. I've run fast, I've run slow. I've run short distances and long ones. Nothing. If I'm in a bad mood, I'll be in an even worse mood when I stop and running won't improve any good mood either. It's just a myth.

Not that I'm in a good mood often anyways. I've been thinking that the sad thing is that I don't know what I like. I think that might be the case with quite a lot of people. I can point to many things I DON'T like, but not what I DO. There's not much I CAN do either. Apart from my talent of reading really really fast. And golf, of course.

Am pretty tired now and will go to bed now. One last thing: Don't click on this link: The pouch!! The pouch!! My eyes!!

Went to the beergarden today and had meaningless conversations about tv series. Funfacts thereof: What was MacGuyver's first name? And Columbo's? Did Columbo actually have a wife or was it his overactive imagination? I say yes, Jule was doubtful. Well, she DID have her own series and all...

Got the written invitation to my final exam today. Says I need to turn in my paper ASAP or at least at the end of September. My tutor called, too. Focus, focus, focus. Up to twelve pages now. Need 50.

Was amused by my cat having the hiccups. I didn't know they were so loud :)

While I am jogging, I need to keep my mind occupied and today I thought about how to put my own personal lasagna recipe into words. If I ever have the time, I'll post it here for youse guys to enjoy. Youse guys - my Diplomacy Italian persona is apparently catching - regardless of how I lost my Fleet in Rome to the Evil Winds of War. Lots of Capitalization there, too. But once you Lose Half of Europe to the Cunning Turk and the Mopey Austrian, you need to Capitalize somewhat. But I guess I'm just too peaceful - I don't even mind.

Today was official "Do nothing and lounge about"-Day, so I'm just going to post a couple of meaningless jumbled observations and there's nothing you can do to stop me:

  • I need a new trashcan. Mine was occupied by a new lifeform with tentacles. A green and fuzzy lifeform.

  • My halogen light doubles as an insect trap. Insects are attracted to it, divebomb into the bowl and whoosh! are incinerated. Which leads to an acrid stench currently occupying my room. Which in turn leads to having the window open (as is my custom anyway and led to the Beast of Doom (a.k.a. moth) entering my room in the first place). Which in turn leads to another Beast of Doom being attracted by the light. It is a vicious circle.

  • Knees feel slightly less swollen.

  • Been thinking about the Trousers of Time today and concluded I fell out the Other Leg.

  • My hair has the consistency of dreadlocks and really should be washed but on the other hand looks really good which it won't after I washed it. It never does. Women can attest to that: Never wash your hair right before an important date. It's going to be really messed up. Not that I have an important date, I'm just reluctant to end what seems like a good hair day.
Today was spent jogging, then moaning because my knees hurt. After jogging for two hours, my legs start feeling like two sticks attached to two huge water balloons attached to my thighs. And an hour of jogging later, the water balloons had swollen to gigantic blimps. Ouch. (Only imaginary, though, as far as I can see, my knees are their usual size).

Let's hope the pain subsides sometime next week. I need to get better knee support for my long runs.

So there wasn't really anything I could do today but hang around, eat, watch TV and support my own brand new football team by the colourful name of Los Elfos. I even designed a little team logo. Gee, good thing I had nothing better to do today. At least Los Elfos won their first game 3:0.
